2-4 Months Before
the Wedding

bridesmaids' dresses.

trousseau
attire.
- Confirm date

wedding
rehearsal.

out-of-town
guests and

appointment for blood
tests
if necessary.
- Finalize
details with
reception

4-6 Weeks Before
The
Wedding
- Contact your

- Send "thank
you" flowers to

hosts of your
pre-wedding parties.

wedding

- Have the final
fitting of
your
gown.
- Call your
reception
coordinator
to finalize
last minute details.
- Meet with
photographer and
videographer to
discuss details.
- Arrange special
transportation
for wedding
party.
- Plan the
attendants'
luncheon or
party.
- Select the
groom's
gift.
- Prepare seating
chart for
reception guests.
- Write thank-you
notes for
shower
gifts and
wedding gifts as they arrive.
- Place
announcement in local
newspapers.
- Make sure that
you have all
accessories: Toasting
glasses, Ring Pillow, Garter, Candles, Guest Book, etc.
Two Weeks Before The
Wedding
- Make final
check with your
florist. Double
check delivery times and locations.
- Order "thank
you" flowers to
send to parents
after the wedding.
- Make final
check with
officiate,
musicians,
organist, photographer, videographer and reception coordinator.
- Obtain the
marriage
license.
- Begin name
changes on bank
accounts and official
documents.
- Keep a list of
wedding gifts
and
their senders
as they arrive.
- Finalize
seating chart for
reception guests.
- Finish
addressing
announcements
to be mailed
on the wedding day.
One Week Before
The
Wedding
- Give the final
guest count
for
the reception
to reception coordinator.
- Arrange pick up
of guests
and
attendants arriving
at airports.
- Give
Photographer list of
pictures that you
want
- Make sure that
musicians
have a
list of all
music for the ceremony and the reception.
- Make sure that
wedding rings
have arrived
and that they fit.
The Wedding
Day
- Be sure to have
a good
breakfast
- Start to get
dressed at
least
one hour before
the ceremony.
- Give the Best
Man the
Bride's
wedding ring
- Prepare the
Officiant's Fee
or
Gift in an
envelope and give it to the Best Man so that he can present it after
the
ceremony.
- Don't forget
the Marriage
License and make
sure that it's signed by the Officiate and Witnesses.
- Dance first
with your Bride,
then both Mothers
and then the Bridesmaids.
- Before you
leave the
reception,
take the time
to say thank you and good bye to all your guests.
