Never enough Hours in the day!
It seems to me that now that we have the retail
shop, there are never enough hours in the day. When I started this
website, I had every intention of having a monthly newsletter. When I
had trouble getting that done, I decided that it would be ok to do it
seasonally. Now, this poor page has sat empty for months as the seasons
have rolled by!
2006 was a very busy year for us and it brought many changes. At the
first of the year, we spent all of our extra time and effort turning a
storefront that had been empty for over 5 years into a wonderful little
shop that I call The
Wren's Nest. It's small but cozy and I love being there. In the
next month or so, Ken and I will be working at it again and moving
things around to give me more sales floor and a better overall flow.
We did several weddings with a cluster of 10 in one month. Very busy! I
was blessed to be able to perform the wedding of my oldest son Tim to
the love of his life Trish and her three girls. It was a beautiful
wedding filled with lots of family. And Ken and I were excited to get
not only a new daughter-in-law, but three beautiful new granddaughters
as well.
It's funny how one little unimportant thing can change your life, and
that's exactly what happened to me in August. I had been sent pictures
of my sons wedding and was shocked to see how I looked. It wasn't that
I wasn't aware that I had been putting on weight, but I just had no
idea how much. One picture of me was all it took. After a friend told
me that she had started on Medifast and was having great results, I
decided to give it a try. I'm happy to say that I'm down 49 lbs and
feeling wonderful. It's the first program that I've been able to live
with and fits my busy life. I highly recommend it to anyone that has
struggled with any amount of weight to lose. I was so sold on this
program that in December I became an independent Health Advisor for Take Shape for Life so
that I could help others do what I'm doing.
Now, I'm gearing up for Spring and looking forward to flowers and some
sun after the long wet winter that we have had. Several bad windstorms
have blown down trees and branches so Ken and I have our work cut out
for us as soon as things dry out a bit.
Like I said...... Never enough hours in the day!!
Wishing you love and laughter,
