The Winegar Wedding...
Toby and Mindy couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot for their wedding. Surrounded by huge pine trees and beautiful white barked Aspens, this place was so peaceful and serene. The couple and their friends and family crafted a peeled juniper log arch to use as the back drop for their ceremony and it looked as if it had been there all along.
The Bride had chosen a Tuscan color scheme that worked perfectly with the natural surroundings. We lined the aisle with terra-cotta pots filled with a colorful assortment of flowers and the arch was accented with two large wire baskets brimming with flowers and trailing plants and a wonderful swag of mixed flowers. Mindy's bouquet of Leondias roses worked perfectly with her very simple yet very elegant dress, and the bridesmaid's hand tied bouquets of mixed flowers plus the addition of sunset colored rose petals strewn on the ground completed the picture.
One of the most memorable moments from this wedding was shortly before the ceremony when the Bride and I walked out to look over the ceremony area. As I turned to look up the aisle, I was thrilled to see several beautiful butterflies landing on the flowers we had just placed. It was almost like I planned it that way!
Kenny and I really enjoyed doing this wedding. We were 45 minutes from the closest town, had a little A-frame of our own to sleep in and woke up in the morning to see a beautiful buck and a fat rabbit munching grass nearby. Though it was a busy time from the moment we got there, we were able to relax and enjoy the soft breeze and peaceful sounds of nature in the evening when all the wedding work was done. We were blessed with tons of help from both the Bride and the Groom's families, and the whole thing was like a huge family reunion.
We wish Mindy and Toby the best and hope that they have nothing but fond memories of their wedding day.

Rose Haven Open House
Our Open House was held on Saturday, August 14th. Deacon Steve Avery gave a wonderful blessing on the business and we were able to meet and greet several new friends and make contact with vendors that I know will add to our quality service. My Mother, Mary Jane Allen and sisters Stephi Allen-Coelho and Mindy Winegar came from Eastern Oregon to share the day and wish us well, as well as Faith and Abby our nieces.
It was a perfect way to launch our new venture! Visit our Photo album area to see pictures of the decor. Very beautiful!

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of my friend N.L. Pat Teague. Pat worked with me at Online Highways and become not only a friend but a mentor to me. He was always honest in his opinions and was the driving force behind the opening of our office. When I felt that things were just too tough and that opening the office seemed impossible, he was there to give me all the reasons why I should struggle though and keep going. I came in after a particularly hard week full of set backs and there was a framed print of a tunnel on my desk with the words "The light is brighter everyday." His way of telling me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that I was getting closer and closer to my dream and to not give up. He came to see my office right before he left to have surgery and I felt like a kid wanting to please a much loved parent. It meant the world to me that he gave me a nod of approval. It seems that my friend Pat was destined to be in my life for just a short time, as was Jack, another friend that I recently lost contact with, but both men in that short time had a huge impact in my life and will be thought of fondly and missed often.
Our Canadian Friends...

Andrea and Kerry Zubot's wedding was the perfect example of our commitment to work with any budget. The Zubot family had contacted me saying that they were planning a family vacation to the US and would like to get married on the beach somewhere along the way. After several e-mails back and forth and a phone call or two, we were able to put together a small wedding on the beach for them.
The couple and their 6 boys gathered on Heceta Beach in the evening where I was honored to officiate at their ceremony. It was such a joy filled evening and when you look at the pictures, you can just feel the love that they have for each other.
Afterwards, we all walked up the beach to Driftwood Shores where Jennifer Fox and her staff went out of the way to set a beautiful table for our small reception.
Even though this wedding was small and the only decor was the Bride's bouquet and the buttonholes wore by the guys, we had the back drop of the beautiful Pacific Ocean, and a canopy of the bluest of blue skies. No amount of money could have bought a more awesome setting.
Be sure to visit the Zubot's Wedding page and see the great pictures that Shawna Duvall of Digital Diaries took. Shawna has such a great eye and really captured the moment.
We were so happy to get to know the Zubot family and just know that they are going to have several happy years together.
