Living
here on the coast, we don't get the winter snows like they do in my
hometown of John Day, Oregon. I miss that sometimes. I'll never forget
the way it felt to wake up and look out the window to a wonderful
winter wonderland. Our father loved the snow as much as we did. It
wouldn't take long for him to be out in the back yard with his dog
Rocky making a huge game of fox and the geese for all of us to play.
It's
hard to think of it as winter with the beautiful weather we have been
having. We finally got a few cold days this week. Ken went out and put
up some lights and I made a very cute pair of vintage skates into
Christmas door decor. It's finally beginning to look a bit like the
holidays around here!
We
have two new additions to our home. We are now the proud parents of two
8 week old puppies. They are the cutest little brothers. I'm sure that
Taz and Sage will be keeping us busy. I had forgotten how much trouble
puppies can get into!
Wishing
you all much love and peace in the year to come,
